Buying a property in India
Work out the tax you must deduct — before you pay the seller.
When you buy a property, you may have to hold back a percentage of the price and deposit it with the government yourself. Get it wrong and the bill lands on you, not the seller. This tool does the arithmetic, checks your figures and prepares Form 26QB so you can file it.
Your property, PAN and tax information stays on this device and is not uploaded to Maytrika.
How it works
- 1
Enter your details
Property, buyer, seller and the payment you are making.
- 2
Check the tax
See what to deduct, what to pay the seller, and by when to file.
- 3
Review everything
A full summary, with anything unusual flagged before you file.
- 4
File it yourself
You log in to the Income Tax portal, review and submit. We only help fill the form.
What this tool will never do
- Ask for your Income Tax portal password, OTP or CAPTCHA.
- Log in to the government portal as you.
- Submit the form or authorise a payment on your behalf.
- Ask for a card number, UPI PIN or net-banking details.
- Upload your PAN, property details or tax figures to a Maytrika server.
Maytrika Property TDS Assistant helps users prepare and populate property-TDS information. It is an independent utility and is not affiliated with the Income Tax Department. Users remain responsible for reviewing the information, submitting the government form and completing payment.
